A G1P0
divorced lady who was not sexually active for a few years, was a non-smoker and
enjoyed good past health. She presented with vulval pain, urinary frequency and
urgency for 6 months, being treated by private general practitioner for repeated
urinary tract infection. She finally consulted a private gynaecologist in July
2010. A Pap smear was taken which showed atypical glandular cells, favour
neoplastic. High vaginal swab showed streptococci and Proteus species while STD
screening, such as VDRL, HIV and Herpes Simplex II, were all negative.
Colposcopy was performed for abnormal Pap smear.
